- Know where to start with marketing
- Determine a marketing budget
- Understand what branding really is
- Decide which social media platforms are best
- Find time to work on marketing while running a business
- Know if we are being charged reasonable prices for marketing services
- Dial in our social media strategy
- Optimize our website for SEO and usability
- DO ALL THE THINGS!
Does reading this list make you feel anxious?
Every day we see or hear about another new AI tool or platform that will “solve all of your marketing issues.” I will tell you a secret – even marketing agencies struggle with marketing. Those algorithms have us in their clutches! Talk about Imposter Syndrome!
You may also be very familiar with the sneaky feeling of being inadequate or having “imposter syndrome.” That is ok. That is part of the brave, crazy, exhilarating, and sometimes heartbreaking journey of owning a business.
However, your marketing journey for your business doesn’t have to be such a roller coaster.
Create a Marketing Plan in One Day
Spend a day at the MiMOB Summit (Michigan Marketing Outstanding Brands) with other business owners and leading area marketing experts crafting a personalized marketing plan for your business.
How does this work?
Attendees will be guided through several key areas of marketing and coached on how to answer these questions:
- Does my business need to work on this area of marketing? (social, website, SEO, etc)
- How high of a priority is this?
- Am I going to do it myself or hire it out?
- If I do it, how much time will it take?
- If I hire it out, how much should I expect to spend on it?
The main categories we are addressing are:
- Creating a Marketing Budget
- Brand
- Graphic Design/Canva (logos, social media graphics, and more)
- Website/SEO (How to know if your website is working correctly)
- Print (brochures, flyers, mailers, and e-newsletters)
- Social Media (What to focus on and how to create a social media strategy)
- Video (how to create and incorporate video into your marketing plan – everyone is doing it!)
Attendees will be provided a printed workbook to use as they participate in the various categories. You will be creating your marketing plan in real-time. At the end of the day, you will have an action item list of priorities. You will know what to tackle first, what you will hire out, and what you can worry about later.
Sounds pretty great, doesn’t it? There’s more!
Additional Perks at the MiMOB Summit
In addition to having a marketing plan, you will also enjoy the following benefits:

- Q&A Panel
